OVERVIEW
CenterPoint Energy, Inc., headquartered in Houston, Texas, is a domestic energy delivery company that includes electric transmission & distribution, natural gas distribution and energy services operations. 

CHALLENGE
CenterPoint Energy was seeking to modernize and optimize its centerpointenergyretail.com web property, which includes marketing content and the enrollment/registration web application for "new customers" and "existing customers" and accompanying APIs. 
At the time, the web-based application was built as a single page application (SPA), which was not optimized for consumption by robots and search engine crawlers. This negatively affected search engine rankings and prevalence, and limited CES from having some common features, such as A/B testing, independent content creation, editing and management, and creation of automated. marketing campaigns.
